Creating a Shape

Part 1 of 12 in series Shapes

Shapes Command

 createashape

Draw a Rectangle or Elipse
  • Click on Draw Tab>Shapes Group. This opens the Shapes selection. 
  • Select the shape that you want in the Shapes Using Fill Colors Group or the Shapes Using Graduated Fill. 
  • The shape is added to the page with the Fill Color and the Line Color that is currently selected in the Color dialog. 

infoAfter you create a shape, you can switch between solid and graduated fill at any time.

Draw a Line
  • Click on Draw Tab>Shapes>Rectangle. A rectangle is placed on the page.
  • If you want to remove the border, click on Draw Tab>Borders Group>Width>None.
  • Use the selection handles to resize the rectangle into a line .
